Miglena Kirilova

Meet the artist

Miglena Kirilova was born into a family of artists, in Ruse, Bulgaria. Creativity became a part of her soul and a guiding light to path of her life. Miglena has been painting for as long as she can remember - she graduated from art school with a major in painting, apprenticed in the studio of a prominent Bulgarian artist and created even in a difficult period of her life, when she was forced to work in a completely different field in order to support herself. Today, Miglena Kirilova devotes herself entirely to fine art. In her hometown, she gives herself the greatest gift – she creates her own art corner, in which she closes herself daily to escape from the gray everyday life, limitations and negative emotions. Among Miglena's great achievements, we cannot fail to mention her altar icons, placed in as many as 13 different ecclesiastical monasteries around the country.
