Authentic, handmade "Christ Pantocrator" icon

Pantocrator or All-holder is the earliest and main iconographic image of Christ in the Christian East, which represents the Savior as Heavenly King and Judge. In icon painting, this was especially achieved through the characteristic asymmetry and expression of His eyes: the look of the Savior is both strict and kind, nostalgic. This image of the Savior most fully reveals both His Divine and human nature. The image of Christ Pantocrator traditionally occupies the space of the central dome of the Orthodox church.

The icon is created using materials and paints according to the original technology for making of Orthodox icons. Gold leaf, patina, and cracking varnish were used, to make the icon look even more authentic. The icon is painted with egg tempera paint, as per the traditional technology for icon painting.
