Authentic icon "St. Paul the Apostle"

Apostle Paul was a follower of Jesus Christ and one of the founders of the religion. He was an influential teacher and missionary in much of Asia Minor and present-day Greece. After accepting Christianity, Paul began to preach publicly and quickly became one of the best. He successfully took the Gospel to Gentile communities. He founded a number of churches in many countries in Europe and Asia Minor, mainly in regions where no Christian had set foot before him. Wherever he went, Paul established new Christian communities and helped these newly converted believers to develop independently. Although he never met Jesus and did not directly witness his teaching, the apostle Paul contributed a lot to the growth of the Christian church. Perhaps more than anyone else.

The icon is created using materials and paints according to the original technology for making of Orthodox icons. Gold leaf, patina, and cracking varnish were used, to make the icon look even more authentic. The icon is painted with egg tempera paint, as per the traditional technology for icon painting.
