Authentic icon "St. Cyril and Methodius"

St. Cyril and Methodius are two Byzantine brothers, born in Thessaloniki in the 9th century, who developed missionary activity as preachers of Christianity among different peoples. The brothers of Thessalonica, as the brothers Cyril and Methodius are also known, are canonized as saints for the translation and popularization of the Bible in the Old Bulgarian language and the spread of Christianity among early medieval Slavic-speaking peoples. They are titled equal apostles and Slavic apostles. The icon is filled with materials and paints according to the original technology for making Orthodox icons. Gold varak, patina and cracking varnish were used to make the icon look more authentic. The drawing is filled with egg tempera using original technology. The reliefs are handmade.
