Authentic icon "The Virgin of Consolation" with 12 Apostles (triptych)

"The Holy Mother of God is depicted in many icons among the twelve Apostles. She spent most of her life among them. I had never seen the image of a triptych together with the Apostles, and I decided to create it. I think that this way, the relationship of the Mother of God with the infant Christ and the Apostles, becomes even closer and stronger. This icon has been a favorite of my clients, and I have created several such triptychs, requested as custom orders," shared Ventsislav.

The materials and paints used to create the icon are based on original technology for making of Orthodox icons. The textures are handmade, using old Byzantine technology. Gold varnish, various other varnishes, patina, and cracking varnish are used for greater authenticity of the icon. This method ensures that the icon comes as close as possible to the appearance of the old, original icons in the churches.

This lovely work of art is signed by the artist, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
