Iliya Boyarov

Meet the artist

Iliya Boyarov is a sculptor from Sofia, Bulgaria. He finds inspiration from everything, but especially nature and the spirit of the emotional charge of each "object". An endless source of inspiration is also the geometry and anatomical structure of the small particles. He is also very interested in spatial changes. He graduated from the "Metal" specialty at the National Academy of Arts. He enrolled in pedagogy at the Academy as an additional major and since 2012 has been working in the field of art education. In 2013, he returned to the Applied School, but this time as a teacher of Metal and Combinatorics, where he stayed for one year. In 2014, he started his own school. Since 2020, he is a doctoral student in the specialty "Theory and Practice of Art Education" at the National Academy of Arts and currently teaches pedagogy there. He worked as a sculptor while still a student. As a freelance writer with a distinct handwriting and creativity, Iliya Boyarov works with clients from Europe, Australia and the USA. In 2016, he started working in the field of scientific illustration, as well as in the organization of various cultural events in the capital and the country.
