Marina Borisova

Meet the artist

Marina lives in Varna, Bulgaria. After completing her higher education as a furniture engineer, she realized numerous projects in the design and furnishing of homes and establishments. She has been a teacher of interior design, and computer graphics, since 2003.

The flame of art in her life has taken various forms - sketching and sewing clothes, making carnival costumes, creating decorative objects, model making, designing furniture, and others.

In 2018, she rediscovered her passion for painting. Marina Borisova paints watercolors with great pleasure, and passion. She has a lot of talent and a desire to show more and more of this magnificent technique! She follows the magic of water, and raises the curtain on the endless possibilities of watercolor.

She has participated in the international watercolor competition "Step by Step" in Poland, where her painting reached the final selection. In 2021, she had a solo exhibition at the Grafit Gallery in Varna, Bulgaria. Marina also participated in the collective exhibition "Lyrical Drawing", organized in the same gallery.

Marina also participated in the International Triennial "The Spirit of Watercolor" in 2022, the Biennial "Friends of the Sea" - Burgas in 2022, the collective traveling exhibition "Heat, Thirst, Life" in 2022, and in the Fabriano International Watercolor Competition in 2024.
